The main structure adopts ASTM A36 or A500 grade B steel with yield strength of 36,000 psi to 50,000 psi. Compared with ordinary steel, the structural bearing capacity is increased by 25%, ensuring no plastic deformation under extreme loads.

Full-body hot-dip galvanizing to ASTM A123 with a zinc layer thickness of not less than 75 microns (3 mils) to effectively isolate oxidation and prevent structural rust and corrosion for more than 20 years in coastal or high humidity environments.

The surface layer is sprayed with high-performance fluorocarbon or polyester powder and passes the 4000-hour salt spray test. The coating has strong adhesion, anti-ultraviolet fading performance is 3 times higher than ordinary paint, and the appearance is bright and bright for a long time.

CNC laser cutting and drilling technology is adopted, and the hole position tolerance is controlled within ± 0.5mm. The full bolted design (Bolted Connections) reduces the welding workload on site by 90% and improves the installation efficiency by 40%.

Optimized by FEA finite element analysis, the standard design can withstand a snow load of 40 psf and a wind load of 150 mph, fully meeting the IBC (International Building Code) structural safety requirements for hurricane-intensive areas.

With high modulus structural steel characteristics, it can achieve a column-free cantilever design up to 3 meters (10 feet). While ensuring that the entrance is unobstructed, the deflection shall be strictly controlled within L/240 to eliminate the hidden danger of sagging.

Compared with aluminum alloy or wooden canopy, this Structural Steel Canopy has an absolute advantage in large span and high load applications due to its high elastic modulus and welding strength.

Aiming at the problem of paint peeling and rusting in the traditional steel canopy within 3-5 years, we adopt a double-layer protection system that is hot-dip galvanized first and then sprayed. As a sacrificial anode to protect the steel substrate, the zinc layer can heal itself even if the coating is scratched, which completely solves the problem of metal corrosion maintenance in high salt spray areas.

In view of the deformation problem caused by the accumulation of light canopy unable to resist typhoon or blizzard, we provide a load calculation based on PE (Professional Engineer) seal. Through the selection of high section modulus HSS steel, to ensure that in 50 years 1 the extreme wind and snow load, the structure is still rigid and stable, to ensure the safety of personnel.

In view of the pain points that open flame welding is strictly prohibited and the construction period is tight in commercial building renovation projects, 100 percent of the factory prefabricated production and bolting design are adopted. After the components arrive at the site, they only need to be hoisted and bolted, without on-site painting and welding, shortening the traditional 2-week installation cycle to 3-5 days.
It is suitable for the main entrance and pedestrian passage of office buildings and shopping centers. The product provides a modern minimalist appearance and customized colors, which can upgrade the building facade and meet the requirements of LEED green building certification for shading and energy saving.

Suitable for loading and unloading platforms and employee entrances and exits. Structural Steel Canopy’s high impact resistance and super weather resistance, it can adapt to the frequent vehicle vibration and harsh outdoor environment in the industrial park, reducing long-term maintenance costs.

Applicable to the school building corridor, parents pick-up area and stadium stands. The structural design of the high safety factor is fully in line with the seismic and wind resistance specifications of the school building, providing safe outdoor activities and traffic space for students in bad weather.

Suitable for emergency room entrances and hospital gates. The large-span cantilever design allows ambulances to pass and park without obstacles, and the all-weather rain and snow protection function ensures that the patient transfer process is not affected by the weather and meets the functional standards of medical buildings.

Before hoisting, the position of embedded bolts on the concrete foundation must be rechecked with the total station to ensure that the error is within ± 3mm. If deviation is found, chemical rebar planting or adjusting plate shall be used for correction. Forced installation shall not lead to structural stress concentration.

When the girder is hoisted by a crane, soft pads shall be applied to protect the coating at the contact point between the sling and the steel. After the cantilever beam is in place, the temporary support rod must be set immediately, and the support can not be removed until all connecting bolts are tightened to the design torque.

Tighten the bolts in the “initial-final” sequence using a calibrated torque wrench in accordance with ASTM A325/A490. For M20 bolts, it is recommended that the final tightening torque should reach 400-500 N · m (refer to the installation drawing for the specific value), and mark the tightening state.

After installation, check for minor scratches on the coating caused during transportation or installation, and use the matching zinc-rich primer and topcoat for repair. Weather-resistant silicone sealant shall be applied at all wall joints to ensure the waterproof and air tightness between the canopy and the main body of the building.
